Screwed by transportation costs!
Found this sweet little diamond in the rough waiting to be plucked and polished into a bad looking rat rod: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...m=330285996866
Only problem is shipping it out here from ND. Shipping companies want $1,400 to haul it. I even talked to the seller and he's willing to trailer it out here himself for $800. Unfortunately with a mortgage, business, and the holidays around the corner I can't justify it. Too bad there's no way to throw it on a train or something for a few hundred bucks. Anyway if anyone else has some spare cash around this would make a sweet ride. |
22 hours one way, He is out of his mind or very desperate to deliver it for $800.
Pretty cool project though. |
Regardless it's beyond my budget for now. I still have to finish my Harley first anyway.

if u have a truck drive out there rent a trailer and bring it back urself or with some friends it can be done in notime
|
Yeah, fly out and Uhaul it home would most likely be less than $800.
Either that or it is time for a weekend round trip road trip of epic proportions :) -Tim |
Hahaha I thought about it but that's still a good $500 in gas with my truck. Once I finish my bike and some other projects I'll look for a rat rod truck somewhere local so I can see it first.

that sucks paul i'll pm you my cousins number maybe he knows someone with a car carrier
|
how'd you get to searching nationwide, anyway? i usually limit my searches to delaware, pennsy, jersey and lower new york. looking outside ot that area usually involves shipping, which adds to the initial cost. of course, if it were an arizona car, that's a different story. at least then you'd be getting a near-rust-free starting point.
like i always say, I don't need another project... I don't need another project... I don't need another project... |
that is a really cool truck!
