Pro mag question
Can overtightening your rockers cause a weird stuttering on acceleration? Its nothing excessive, but I am wondering cause it wasn't there before the pro mags went on. I am not saying the promags are at fault but they were difficult to get "right" as for lash etc. Sorry for the dumb question and all.

Yes.

Sweet. Off with the valvecovers. Again. I love LT1s. Love them.
|
i usually spin the push rod till i feel resistance and do 1/2 turn.
|
And to add to it, the balancer is off a bit, so I guess I should really do it for each spring right?

Alright thanks, maybe I will change plugs while I am at it, that should make turning the motor over a billion times easier....
|
What springs are you running? did you check your not getting coil bind?
|
They are LE2s so I do not think I am getting coil bind.

Nope, unless your over 600 lift! |
And I was running a set of magnums for a while but picked up a set of pro mags from Al for some added security. So it is definately something to do with my install.

Just wanted to update on this, not having it as a daily driver makes for procrastination. Popped the valve covers and holy ****, Cyl 1 intake rocker was missing a retaining nut. Thankfully it was still just chillen up top. But I guess that would explain the stuttering.... Re adjusted all of them one valve at a time. Just waiting on some spark plugs.
|
Oh ****...I think they were stolen!! Ohhhh ****!
The 87 was broken into yesterday, and my tomtom, radar detector and apparently the spark plugs were stolen!! I dont think I took them out. Im sorry brotha... |
What? I am confused here Al... Are you implying I stole spark plugs out of a 305??? And I already have a radar detector, but the tomtom would be nice......
