price isn't bad for a pretty sporty car. Look is funky for sure but I'm sure it's just that "new" feeling.

I'll go test drive one for kicks.

qwikz28 11-22-2008 11:29 PM

nice car, definitely not my favorite japanese though. if i could quote clarkson on this one: "you could buy a nissan, but then you would have to own a nissan..."

BigAls87Z28 11-22-2008 11:41 PM

30k puts you right into a Camaro SS which gives you all the optional stuff for teh 370Z, standard on the Camaro SS. Probably be about a 400lb difference though.
Its gunna come down to options, quality, and handling. If Camaro can hide its weight and perform better then anyone can imagine, it could take the title as best bang for the buck. Even if the two cars are not in the same class, they will most deffinatly compete for the same people.

BigAls87Z28 11-23-2008 12:57 AM

Looks like its actually about 3300lbs. Lighter then I thought, but still heavy for its size.

It'll probably grenade tranies just like it's big-bro,the GTR.

enRo 11-23-2008 08:04 AM

Nice. I <3 Z's.

WildBillyT 11-23-2008 08:26 AM

I'm waiting to hear back but I may get a sneak peak at a secret 370Z cross country promotional tour early next year....way before they hit the market. I'll reserve any judgement until then.

BigAls87Z28 11-23-2008 12:53 PM

Yeah, I got that PM at GMI...

qwikz28 11-23-2008 01:06 PM

i think i've reached a point in my life that i would sacrifice 500 pounds for 2 cylinders and 100hp. therefore from my point of view, the lighter camaro v6 would compete more with teh 370z and since the camaro would be far less expensive, i'd have to consider whether the ride and handling of the Z would be that much better than a base camaro (unless they make a V6 camaro with the SS brakes and suspension). anyone else agree?

sweetbmxrider 11-23-2008 01:30 PM

your logic is logical.

Anti_Rice_Guy 11-23-2008 04:34 PM

I still think they are ugly as sin, just like the GTR, and the exhaust note of that engine, in all 47 applications including the SUV's is godawful. Loud and droney and just annoying. How does it compare performancewise to the Mustang?

MonmouthCtyAntz 11-24-2008 06:56 PM

Yea i like that thing

NJ346 11-24-2008 07:10 PM

Is it just me, or does that pic remind anyone of an S2000?.

BigAls87Z28 11-24-2008 07:48 PM

Yeah, like a S2k with a wide body kit.

12secondv6 11-24-2008 09:57 PM
