Lunati Voodoo

Anyone run one of these in a LT1 or seen/know someone that runs one?
Since I have to pull the heads anyway I'm pretty sure I'm going to rebuild the whole motor. I was looking at the comp xfi 296 and Lunati 60121. Or maybe a LE2 setup.
I want to keep my motor pretty much stock on the inside and I want to make between 350 to 380 to the wheels.

LE2  Shownomercy will back that up no doubt. good options too if you are going emissions friendly or pure performance. great pricing for what you get too.

aye, LE2 makes for fun times. And when you can't pass emissions just make a thread on here and whine about it, its fun times. Go big and worry about passing all that stuff when the time comes. Woohoo for LTs, big cam, and no cats.

Not a big fan of the comp XFI line, Lunati Voodoo cams are more like the Comp Extreme Energy line than anything else.

voodoo= trash! stay far away from that crap.

Sorry I should of been a little more clear I guess. I was talking about going with LE2 heads not cam. I also ment the 268 idk what I was thinking when I typed 296...I want a car that will pass emissions, hence me looking at a small voodoo cam.
CamaroAL what don't you like about the voodoo line? What would you suggest for a mild street cam?
Once again sorry for the scatter brain post my thoughts where all over the place trying to figure out how I'm going to go about this build over the winter.

503 or 305

Agreed, the 305 with the 114 LSA is probably the best off the shelf emmisions legal cam. Anything with 230+ Dur or 112 LSA is going to have a hard time getting past the sniffer unless you go with dyno tuning.

LTb1ow 11-24-2008 11:14 AM

107 LSA FTW....

94LT1m6 11-24-2008 03:37 PM

Ok LAST cam in question is the 224/230 .560/.565 112 LSA cam LE sells. On his site It claims emissions friendly. Anyone here have any xp running one in NJ? I plan on having it dyno tuned anyway. Thanks again for all your suggestions working around emissions is pretty new to me.

LTb1ow 11-24-2008 03:39 PM

If Lloyd says its emissions that it emissions. I believe a guy made about 370ish with the LE1 cam or the emissions cam.

the voodoo and the thumper are just names added to the cams they have been poducing for years, but in order to boost sales they put a fancy name on them. which makes them lame cams with fancy names. i prefer custom grind cams, they cost very close to the same as a shelf cam. call either Rod a iskenderian or Red at comp cams and tell them your application and requirements to emissions and they will make or suggest a cam that will be perfect for u.

LTb1ow 11-24-2008 07:42 PM

Or talk to Bret Bauer. He used to spec cams for Lloyd.
