He's talking width of the rim... yours should be 10.5".

tape measure? i am pretty certain you are over 10 inches like njtorque said.

im sorry bout how it says it 275 40 R18 . how can i measure with the tire on already.

just stick the tape measure through the spokes. eye ball it real good. you probably have 10.5" rims since there are 275's on it already. so just replace what you have with the same.
