Can an A4 PCM and harness be used with a T56 or TKO?
LT1 or LS1, can you use an A4 PCM and wiring harness on a manual trans? I would assume it needs some tuning adjustments to the PCM, but is there anything missing from an A4 wiring harness that the T56 or TKO would need?

Ffoff told me the pcm can be reflashed for the new trans. T56 has reverse lockout that may need to be wired. I'd guess VSS is same. Auto may have more wires. Oh hell, go search ls1tech, there are stickies on this.
WHY??? |
Looks like it would need the reverse lockout, reverse lights and CAGS if you wanted to keep that. But it shouldn't be too tough since you can get the pigtails from GM still.
|
program out cags, no? Do reverse lights go through ECM? It's a switch on the side of the trans.
Gm charges 3 arms & 47 legs for pigtails. I got my T56 one here: http://www.eficonnection.com/eficonn..._pigtails.aspx |
Just reflash to a stock 6spd tune and change some connectors over.

the reverse lights work off wires on the a4 shifter harness, u have to cut that and use wires for the park/nuetral safety switch. you need to wire up the clutch pedal to that. the a4 harness can be used with the t56, you do have to wire up the VSS and if you wanted to keep the cags, that too. PCM can be flashed to m6 also, just make sure you put that A4 connected up and out of the way.

I think the connections on the manual/auto are on opposite sides, so you may also need to lengthen some of the wires.

if its for an LT1, I have a 6 speed PCM and harness for sale
