Do you have classic/collector's insurance
If so, what company are you with? Do you like them? How is your rate?
|
I have Hagerty on my '88 SS. It's a stated value policy under their "Exotic" vehicle classification, and I think it's about $360/year. I'm also in Bergen County, so I think that's why my rate is higher than some other people with the same company.

Have had collector's insurance since the mid 1980s with several different carriers. Haggerty is far and away the best in terms of both flexibilty of use/coverages and reasonable rates. Don't bother with Taylors. Don't know anything about GEICO, but they're really new in that market. Stick with an established carrier.

I went through MK Insurance and I have a policy on the L78 valued at $40K for around $375 a year I think. Definitely check with them after getting estimates from other companies.

I have Grundy. My premium last year was $495 for the year.

I have grundy I pay 350 for my Convertable and I think 150 for my other camaro. I like them they were pretty easy to get a quote and buy a policy. I never had a claim yet so I cant say how well they are with that but I hope to never find out.

I have coverage through Collector Car Insurance on both my 90' RS and 79' Z.
My coverage on both these cars is $525.00 a year. I had Grundy, but after shopping around this company gave me an excellent quote and I went with them. Give them a call. Here is the website www.classiccollectors.com. They have been great to deal with. My 90' RS is covered in value at $55,000 at $372.00 My 79' Z28 is covered in value at $20,000 at $153.00 both cars $525 a year. Wanted to stay with Grundy, but they would not work with me in price adjustments for the set values of each car. So I found Collector and it worked out great! |
