they took way to long to try to put the fire out that car should of came away with way less damage

Mike 01-28-2009 11:35 AM

that video has been cruisin around since 05 when it was filmed... thats what happens when you have untrained track workers as the only people there with fire suppression equipment........

Teds89IROC 01-28-2009 12:04 PM

I'd be so pissed

MonmouthCtyAntz 01-28-2009 12:24 PM

79CamaroDiva 01-28-2009 12:52 PM

Yeah it did take them a while to get there considering it was right off the line. Someone should link the z06 fire at island up here. It's been posted before buy ended up MUCH worse than that because the driver ran away with the key fob. I can't link from my phone.

sweetbmxrider 01-28-2009 02:34 PM

Very few insurance policies will apply when you are at the track.

that's exactly what happened. I thought there was a vid of the whole fire. And no, insurance doesn't cover it. Yes, ins companies look at YouTube

The problem is that nitrous is illegal for street use and any adjuster is going to know the damage was caused by nitrous. The amount of dry extinguisher used points directly at being used at a racing event (no matter how hard you try that stuff will be there)

There's also the problem of the video... Lol.. But the good news is, at least at island, if someone calls up asking anything about any racer "we don't know anything".

I better wear protective gear if we are ever in the same place.

I'm not laughing but I do love watching N2O backfire vids. They are just cool to me for some reason.

lol it's always funny when it's someone else:rofl: seriously though i have had a nitrous backfire before and believe me it was not cool.

Bangin Bob 01-30-2009 12:22 PM

WHY DID HE RUN AND JUST STAND THERE? I WOULD HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR SOMETHING TO PUT IT OUT MYSELF OR AT LEAST MADE THE TRACK GUYS HURRY UP A LITTLE. LET ME TELL YOU I DON'T COUNT ON GUY'S AT THE TRACK MUCH FOR LOOKING AFTER MY WELL BEING. JUST GLAD I GOT A GOOD CREW FOR THAT. I KNOW I DEFINATELY FEEL SAFER AT SOME TRACKS MORE THAN OTHERS. AIN'T LIKE ON TV NO NHRA SAFETY SAFARI RUSHING TO HELP YOU.
