Congrats on the PB, I think I ran you once today. I had the Silver Z28 with the Salad shooters on the back. BTW I didn't oil down the track, The tranny held up just fine.

For now ;) Evette and I are going to have a small talk when I get back. Don't let her hear you talking smack about her. She's very competitive:twisted:

lol, I guess so.

I finally learned how to launch on DR's yesterday and I think the clutch may have faded on me as the day went on because I lost 1-2 mph in trap speed but the et only fell off like .15-.20 so I think more seat time and I'll get a little quicker doing nothing to the car. I was also running the car with a bad bank 2 O2 sensor so the car probably has a little more in it. Between learning how to launch on DR's and a Ported/Polished/Epoxied TB I gained 2 mph in trap speed. My goals for this year are now 12.2x@115. The only bolt ons left to do is the under drive pulley and an electric water pump.

**** vin, nice! bet 22 runs was fun

DadsZ28 02-02-2009 07:01 PM

Sounds like you had a great day to learn the car and practice your launching technique. That's what it's all about getting seat time and having fun! I remember those days ha ha.

DadsZ28 02-02-2009 07:12 PM

And Rob looking forward to seeing ya when you get back, let me know where the party is. Lots of match races this year, it is always alot of fun when a bunch of us hang out together down there and compare our runs. Looking forward to it.8-)

I need to catch you guys now. I made up a lot of ground on Sunday cutting 4 tenths off of my PB, but I need to get at least another 2 tenths knocked off so I can really compete. Out of those 22 runs, I only lost like 5 times:mrgreen:. I did make the slowest pass in the car yesterday. 17.3@80 because the clutch stuck to the floor on the launch(I tried to get on the gas a little quicker, and the clutch hydraulics froze), so I need to do the drill mod to the hydraulic line that's coming off of the master cylinder.

I'm getting consistent 1.9x's with my best 60' at 1.903 and that was on my 12.52 pass. I'm slipping the clutch longer than I want to because if I get on the gas too fast the peddle sticks to the floor so I'm forced to ride it out. In another week and a half those problems should be solved and then I'll be blowing the rear. Btw, launching at 5k+ is so nice. My r/t's have gone down a lot because the car moves so easily when your leaving at that kind of rpm.
