New PB for me 2/1/09
 

I got myself a 12 sec time slip today at Atco.
What a nice day I got 12 runs in with my new Convertor. I couldn't hook for crap the first 10 runs, as I was trying to figure out how to launch.I eventually figured out I needed to heat the crap out of the tires to get any grip. But I was rewarded with a 1.77 60' and 12.53@108.78 and backed it up with another 12.57. I think I have a few tenths left in her as I was leaving soft when I could hook, and the right lane was working best for me today. I also saw a few other f-bodies down there but didn't know if any of them were fellow NJFBOA members. I had the silver Z28 with the salad shooters on the back.

I think I may have raced you on the 12.53 run. I was car # 839. We had a nice little group going over there, shoulda came over and said hello. I also got a new PB of a 12.525@113.1 so our cars are real close. My best 60' of the day was a 1.9,

Sounds good. I just went to take a look at my timeslips and we had a real good run at 11:57am. My 12.727 to your 12.737. Your car moves if all it has is a lid catback and a stall. How many runs did you end up with?

Ya that one run was close. I got 12 runs, I didn't want push my luck, so I gave the car a break. I want to do some preventive maint. before I head down again. My front calipers stick bad.

lol. I had just changed my oil yesterday along with the fuel filter and air filter. I'm kinda glad these cars don't have an oil temp gauge like vettes because I'm sure it was getting up there on a few runs. I got 7 runs in in the last 45 minutes haha. PM me if you decide to head down in the next few weeks that way we can get a few runs in again since our cars are so close.

Ya I hot lapped 6 runs back to back. I'll def. look ya up next time.

Thanks guys. I def. looking at my next mods, the first one will be the "Get my wife off my butt and pay off the credit card mod". Then probably headers and a cam.
