At 180 lbs I will be far from being a human fence post like Jeff H! I've been smokin' steroids to lose weight.

WildBillyT 02-03-2009 07:46 AM

That's awesome, Bob! Pretty soon you are going to have to go buy new clothes.

PolarBear 02-03-2009 01:42 PM

I need to lose about 60 lbs too :(

I will not divulge all of my weight loss secrets, as some of them are not exactly FDA approved. :) But as Timmay knows, getting your legs in motion and doing some walking/running REALLY burns the cals. I've been doing a lot of walking at work, going up and down the stairs, etc. And it has made a big difference. Plus I'm getting paid while doing it. So, sweet deal!

Actually, the keg has been empty for 3 months now! I've been picking up random 6 packs of winter beers and I think they come with extra calories! It's time for a new keg so I can stop drinking the heavy winter beers.

And UB, walking/running is great to keep burning what you can. I walk almost every day at lunch time just to get out and clear my head. The past couple of weeks have been tough with the cold weather. If you're looking for some extra walking exercise, I'll give you a call when I play golf and you can carry my golf bag with a couple bottles of beer in it. That's a good workout!

Hell yeah. I put nearly 20lbs back on from losing my job end of October through New Years. I have cut most of it back off, still 4 or 5 to go.

For me the big adjustment was dietary. I always had jobs that I moved around, so I was burning calories for 8+ hours at a time. Then when I went out of work I kept running and eating the same, but all the time I spent sitting around caught up to me.

Good deal UBG. Keep it up!

Jam 02-17-2009 07:22 PM

congrats, keep up the good work, eat healthy, and shoot for 10s!
