Off an 05 F550 super duty at work (14.5" rotor)

BigAls87Z28 02-03-2009 07:24 PM

Shockingly...yes

WildBillyT 02-03-2009 07:35 PM

I wish I could say that was rare. But I've seen three rotors like that in the past month. Looks like a ring gear.

sweetbmxrider 02-03-2009 07:38 PM

oh geez, not another one! that has a nice uniform cut though. and the braking surface didn't break from the hub so at least it still worked, a little.

lastcall190 02-03-2009 08:36 PM

Wow...

Ian 02-03-2009 08:39 PM

nothing like cruising around in an F550 with brakes like that

FBODS4EVER 02-03-2009 08:46 PM

GP99GT 02-03-2009 08:48 PM

i drove it lots of times in the fall loaded with muck crap from dredging the lake...brakes never felt weird or made noise

weird.

BonzoHansen 02-03-2009 08:50 PM

Yup, I believe it. Seen it before.

Fast92RS 02-03-2009 09:06 PM

hanging caliper on the drivers side i guess. never pulled though, weird.

and yeah, rusted like that....probably because we mostly only use them in the winter for plowing/salting, only a few times in the summer for hauling dirt/rocks/whatever...we actually used this truck all summer hauling around catch basin blocks to rebuild catch basins, i drove it a lot of that time and never felt anything weird
