rear end swap

I found a 3.23 rear for sale for real cheap. My question is would it be worth it/possible to swap my 2.73 rear for the 3.23? 2000 auto z28

Larry, it would help. We can swap a rear in a couple hours if you want...

With 3.23's, what the TA has, it feels alot peppier then a car with 2.73's. With a converter, a 3600 or so and your current mods, you should have alot of problems hooking off the line

Would I still be able to retain my ABS? I keep reading up on it and theres a dif between the 2 series and 3 series carriers with abs and Tcs ( which i don't have) I'm just a little confused lol

Yeah, we would have to take your reluctor rings from your rear and put them in the 3.23 rear.

What did the rear come out of? Like, a ABS/TC car?

actually i found out why he's selling the rear for so cheap, it makes noise on turns, screw that I don't want a rear that makes noise. It was an abs only rear no tcs

Yeah... probably the posi was going. Cuase they changed the posi styles some years.

How cheap was cheap? I know someone getting rid of his 342 posi rear in a month or two for a fab 9 if his price is in your ballpark ill let you know.

3.42 would be sweet, my range is like $75-$100.
