whats the most aerodynamic hood for a 98-02 firebird?

which is the most aerodynamic? doesnt matter if its aftermarket or stock. i want to say its the stock flat hood, simply because any kind of ram air hood sticks up so much. this would be for a 98-02 firebird

WildBillyT 02-12-2009 02:28 PM

Probably the LT1 hood.

maroman88 02-12-2009 02:29 PM

haha yea deff the LT1

98tadriver 02-12-2009 02:34 PM

thanks for the quick responses, i shouldve been more specific though. this would be for 98-02 cars

maroman88 02-12-2009 02:36 PM

lol yeayeayea then deff the stock flat hood

some girl tried telling me the predator hood for 98-02's are more aerodynamic. ii dont think they make a predator hood for LS1 cars lol. i just searched and it looks like they were made for the 93-97 cars. i remember reading somewhere that the drag coefficient was more with the Ram air t/a over the firebird t/a which would make sense. this was also coming from the same girl who said if my reaction time was faster, id run a quicker time in the 1/4 mile..... also, when i started up my t/a, she overstepped the bounds by saying my t/a reminded her of a civic.

i still say the LT1 hood is the most aerodynamic

It would if you unplugged half of the cylinders... maybe...

But yes, the stock flat hood would be best for the LS1 years. If you really wanted to cut drag you would have to point the nose better.
