How would I take my 3rd gen camaro from cable driven to electronic.

you would need a 91-92 dash and a vss for the tailshaft of the tranny

I thought everything 87 and later was VSS driven w/digital gauges already?

Yes they did but the speedo was still cable driven. The sensor was just for the ecu input and cruise control. When they put the vss on the trans its controled the speedo and was the sensor for the cruise control and ecu.

Right. I thought maybe if he already had a cable setup he might be able to use one.
