if i were to sell my car..

how much would i get for my car. Its a 1996 trans am 6 speed with t-tops and a charcoal leather interior. the clutch will need to be changed soon. it has 98000 miles on it. the front bumper has spider web cracking, and the drivers side door has some scratches from the previous owner. its black with 17 inch black zr1 wheels. the rear tires are 315 nitto 555r drag radials. the fronts are normal tires. it has a borla exhaust, an slp CAI, lt4 intake elbow. the car comes with edelbrock shorty headers. it has a 255 walbro fuel pump. and soon to be injectors with 30 k on them. any ideas? i am trying to sell the car to buy another nova!

thanks

Jim

$4000-$4500, maybe a little more...taking into consideration the wheels and depending on how bad the scratches are.

^ +1...4500 and maybe a little more. the way the economy is though its tough to sell our types of cars

also if you are interested in an 87 camaro for a trade let me know ;)

Like posted above it hard to sell fbodies nowadays, especially Lt1's (seeing you can find lsx's for around the same price). Your best bet is to wait until the weather starts getting warmer...these cars move better in the spring time.

Lt1_8U 03-04-2009 01:40 PM

yeah thats true. i have one guy that told me he is thinking about 5,000. so if i can get that i will be very happy considering what i paid and what i out into it

sweetbmxrider 03-04-2009 02:24 PM

i would say low 4's. if you get more, thats awesome.

Lt1_8U 03-04-2009 02:58 PM

yeah def, im still on the fence about it. i already listed the car up on craiglist and i have my eye on another car. this is a hard decision! im trying to weigh out the pros and cons of everything. i'm kinda leaning towards keeping the T/a especially the way the economy is right now and also if i do more work to it during the summer i can probably squeeze more money out of it

maroman88 03-04-2009 03:48 PM

i sold my 95Z28 that was mint with 128k on it for 5500... twice :)

Lt1_8U 03-05-2009 01:11 AM

lol did you get 5,500 both times?

maroman88 03-05-2009 05:30 AM

yes sirrrrrrr

NastyEllEssWon 03-05-2009 10:00 AM

i would hold firm at 4k as a bottom line. lsx's are going for 5k but theyre AUTO. being your a six speed bird car i can see you getting 5k.

the cheapest lsx bird six speed you can grab with decent mileage will be around 7500 still. gives you a nice buffer room between 4 and 7500 to offer your car for. depending upon condition id put it up for 5750. if you get it great. if they chew you down you have a bit of cushion to give up till where your still getting a nice price

yeah, that would be nice to get like 5 k

Mulletbird 03-09-2009 10:35 PM

I'll buy it off of you, for all the cash I have. Which is, well, yeah, nothing. College kid here, you know.
