black roof?
 

for the longest time ive wanted to do the roof and hatch black on my 88... the roofs got a few rust bubbles under the paint on the drivers side and its only getting worse. i was thinking of doing the A and B pillars black and the very top edge of the quarterpanels and loop it around on the top of the outer wings of the 3 piece spoiler, accross the decklid and so on... thoughts? it prob wont happen this year cuz i may have a large payment coming up that will get me a career :) butttt i gotta do sumthin with the rust spots

bubba, thats the look i wanted, but also wanted to tie in the decklid and top of the spoiler, and i think it would follow that edge on the top of the quarter panel nicely

Very nice shop, but I'd keep it off the spoiler.

The louvers have to go, the black will be overwhelming.

ehhh, not a fan. But it would hide the sunroof

my roof is getting really bad. i was thinking of doing mine black for the time being too since the hatch and ttops are black anyway.

anyway it looks pretty good in that photoshop, but i don't know how it'd look in person. i don't really like paint just ending in another color paint on a solid panel like that. on a 4th gen there's a break there. sort of does look like a convertible haha.

a fine red pinstripe with a small chevy bowtie in the middle of it would break up that black and white real well

matt thats good, just bring the black over to the top of the spoiler end pieces and straighten out the sail panels to run along the edge on top of the quarter panel

no on a 3rd gen

yeah a pinstripe would work nicely but personally i'm not real big on pinstripes either haha

with a black hood itd look sexy.

I think the only way to pull it off would be to copy quasar's chop, the other one makes it look like a convertible lol Def have to get rid of the louvers too if you're gonna do it.
