So I'm without a car now......

For tonight. My pain in the ass mother decides she wants to take my car to volleyball when there is a perfectly good truck, and a van out front of my house. WTF!

My dad took her new hyundai to georgia for his work trip, and my brother decided to blow up his transmission at a convenient time. I told her to take my truck because I wanted to go out, but shes like "no, i dont know the truck and its dark out" wtf does that have to do with anything?

last time she took my car out she spilled hot tea all down my passenger seat onto the carpet and just left it there, didnt clean it up nor tell me about it, and my clutch wouldnt grab until i pumped it up.

ugh, and she gave me the whole "when its your car you can tell me no" even though shes only a co-signer because i had no credit when i bought the car. and i make ALL the payments on the car including my own insurance. i need to move out. rantrantrantrant.

DevilDougWS6 03-17-2009 08:03 PM

I bet when i get back from Iraq there will be NO clutch, scratches all over, stink like a bitch, and run like ****.

emolineaux 03-17-2009 08:03 PM

that sucks. my 98 z is in my moms name for insurance but no one in the house can drive stick so im safe.

91DropTop 03-17-2009 08:04 PM

not if you pull the fuel pump fuse b4 you go:wink:

DevilDougWS6 03-17-2009 08:06 PM

haha good idea.

yeah well my mom thinks she can drive stick....but has never driven my car with the heavy clutch and short shifter....and last time she drove a manual was in the 70s.

and unfortunately my brother knows how so while im gone i garuantee that my car will become everyones whore and ill have an extra 50k on the clock.

91DropTop 03-17-2009 08:11 PM

or you can "accidentally" lose the keys

Tru2Chevy 03-17-2009 08:12 PM

How about you "accidentally" yank the trans for a rebuild the day before you leave?

im going to have to do that when i get back anyway the way my brother drives.

and my mom will accidentally forget the clutch is there....not on purpose though.

hmmm....thats a good idea too. drop the trans and ship it off to some trans shop...or jsut pull it out and leave it next to the car

Tru2Chevy 03-17-2009 08:20 PM

It would work great if you have a spot at home where you can park the car on pavement and have it not actually move at all while you are gone, then arrange for someone to hold on to the trans while you are away.

well we have a double wide driveway, we can fit four cars. i always park on the right side of it and my mom parks her hyundai on the left side in front of the garage.

I want to just put a cover over it, stabil in the fuel tank, and put a boot with spikes on one of the wheels and take the key with me. and take the steering wheel off. so that way they can start it up every once in a while but cant drive it anywhere.

Frosty 03-17-2009 08:26 PM

I went through that with the 'vette...it sucked. I'm glad it's gone.

Good luck man...family sucks sometimes.

Saitin 03-17-2009 09:05 PM

IMO would be easier to just pull the starter and take that with you.

Slo86Bird 03-17-2009 09:05 PM

my dad has one of his garage bays for rent.... how much would you wanna pay a month? ill start it up and let it warm up once or twice a week. just tell ur mom its going to get motor work done. i will not drive it anywhere except maybe out of the garage and back in if we need to move something thru or whatever.

LTb1ow 03-17-2009 09:12 PM

Doug, you can leave it with me, promise I won't drive it, the LT1 is faster anyway.

Doug, I'm sure your car would be fine leaving it with someone of his intelligence level. Just don't give him the keys, that way he wont know what he's missing.

LTb1ow 03-17-2009 09:27 PM

Aha. Yea, keep on thinking that. Works better for me. ;)
Besides, can't drive stick.

baddest434 03-17-2009 09:28 PM

Tsar 03-17-2009 09:29 PM

KirkEvil 03-17-2009 09:30 PM
