Polished some stuff
well today it was rainy...so i took my engine apart and polished some stuff.......

im going to pull the coils and valve covers off as well. im going to polish the valve covers, and probably paint the coils dark blue. i may have the intake manifold powdercoated NBM some day.

were they painted black or just dirty?
i have an SLP STB and i cant get the dam oil cap off with it installed, its to close lol i was just noticing it looks like u have room |

i actually did show you guys matt, except you were moving your car over at the time haha.
they are black painted from the factory. i used 320 grit to get the bulk of the paint off, then went to 600, then 1000, then finished off with 2000 grit. then cleaned them off and polished up with mothers mag and aluminum polish. oh and i have room to take the oil cap off, but in order to put oil in you need a funnel.....like you should use anyway really. |
that looks good doug, did it all by hand as well?

yeah, thats why it took so long. the actual polishing with the mothers polish i used my dremel and it gave it a deeper polish than by hand.
