Polished some stuff

well today it was rainy...so i took my engine apart and polished some stuff.......

.....ok so i polished the fuel rail, that was about the extent of my polishing for the day, as that took up a good hour and a half. but on to the pictures! not the best photos, and there are a few visible scratches up way close but oh well, i think it came out pretty good.

sweetbmxrider 03-20-2009 10:19 AM

NJ Torque 03-20-2009 10:37 AM

what did you use?

DevilDougWS6 03-20-2009 11:23 AM

i actually did show you guys matt, except you were moving your car over at the time haha.

they are black painted from the factory.

i used 320 grit to get the bulk of the paint off, then went to 600, then 1000, then finished off with 2000 grit. then cleaned them off and polished up with mothers mag and aluminum polish.

oh and i have room to take the oil cap off, but in order to put oil in you need a funnel.....like you should use anyway really.

that looks good doug, did it all by hand as well?

DevilDougWS6 03-20-2009 03:18 PM

yeah, thats why it took so long. the actual polishing with the mothers polish i used my dremel and it gave it a deeper polish than by hand.
