If he does expect the fake crocodile tears from the idiots in Congress. I wonder if they'll protest outside of his house.:rofl::rofl:

With as much scrutiny as GM is under, I doubt he'll be leaving with any huge sum of money.

His severance package was negotiated long ago as a part of his contract. He will do just fine for himself.

See my post above...apparently contracts don't mean anything anymore.

I hope he expects outrage if he gets a fat lump sum of $$$.

NJSPEEDER 03-29-2009 05:25 PM

He is rich and about to get richer, would you care what the public thought? I am sure I would cry the whole trip on my private jet to Aspen/Miami/Yankees opening day/Paris/where ever the hell else I felt like going. But I would be over it right after that. lol

Frosty 03-29-2009 05:35 PM

No I wouldn't...but I bet there's going to be a **** storm when his severance amount is release.

69BirdX 03-29-2009 05:42 PM

about time. He made more money then GM has in the last couple years

NJSPEEDER 03-29-2009 06:46 PM

The problems at GM didn't start under him, the problem was more about the lack of change while he was at the wheel. GM has had marketing problems for a long long time. They got things started in the right direct the past several years by introducing exciting cars to the market and even dared to go out on a few limbs with design while invading the traditional German and Jap markets, especially pointing at the Germans.

BigAls87Z28 03-29-2009 08:11 PM

GM hasnt had great cars like it has now in years, and its because of Rick via Lutz to make it happen.
The irony is that GM is making the best cars not only in its history, but some of the best cars in its class, yet the sales numbers are the worst in years.

NJSPEEDER 03-29-2009 09:16 PM

Because GM couldn't market free $100 bills. lol

BigAls87Z28 03-29-2009 09:28 PM

Yeah, marketing, internal managment, and some other problems kept it in trouble. I hope Chap11 fixes that....

NJSPEEDER 03-29-2009 09:33 PM

I think I have seen more ads for GM vehicles in the last month and a half than I have in the last 2 years. The most amazing part is that not all of them are for Chevy trucks any more.

I hope it works out, but at the same time I can't say I am a fan of what has come out about what they have planned.

Tsar 03-30-2009 09:02 AM

I saw an ad for an Escalade vs Mini. I laughed.

NJSPEEDER 03-30-2009 04:28 PM

The hybrid vs Mini, city gas mileage comparison one?

He's been the fall guy for a while now, but GM is bigger than whatever footprint he ever had. O well happy retirement.
