Yet again...

So yet again my 4L60 is taking a dump. So now I'm left with a delimma. Get a performance/heavier duty 4L60, or invest my time and money in swapping in a T56. I want your opinions.

sell the car and get another f-body with a t56 in it...it'll be cheaper

LTb1ow 04-04-2009 05:17 PM

Is it a stock stall now?

Go go!

Two pedals are better than three!

sell it and get an ls1

I've seen ads in the car magazines for a paddle shifted 6L80. Either that or a THM400 with a Gear Vendors Overdrive unit. Manual transmissions are for people with "control issues";)

I'd love to, but I'm still paying my bike off. Unless I manage to sell my car for a good amount and get a high mileage LS1

EchoMirage 04-05-2009 07:47 AM

2 pedals are for stab & steer. they suck. i know you like road racing. get a stick.

Iroc-z86 04-05-2009 08:39 AM

rebuild + shift kit.

Thats the only reason i wish i had an automatic.

procamaroz28 04-05-2009 01:54 PM

i love LT1 formulas there pretty hard to find too, so dont sell it... if your car is a m6 u will like it and enjoy it alot more...
just hunt for cheaper parts so u dont spend too much but u will have to do a good amount of work but the m6 swap is defiantly worth it

SupermanX24 04-05-2009 02:57 PM

I've been leaning towards the t56 swap. Gotta talk to my store manager tomorrow and convince him to let me do it at the shop. lol. BUT I gotta find a complete set up first...
