njfboa police/court members need some advice

so i just got a ticket for not parking in one space, but here is the senario. i work in a mini mall, i park in the back row when i work and take up 2 spaces, but there is never anyone else in the back row except for 2-3 other employee's. its a $50 dollar ticket, i know the cop did it just to be an ass hole because i have mods done to my car. now to you opinion, should i fight it in court (i know i dont have a good argument but id try) or eat the fine?

i never even knew it was a law.....you have no idea how pissed i am

well then you are guilty. I would just pay the fine, there's no way your getting outta that ticket, especially in this economy with towns so hungry for money.

sweetbmxrider 04-10-2009 09:21 PM

hahah there is no way you will win, flat out. sorry. i don't even know if the private lot part matters. if someone complained, bam.

Mike 04-10-2009 09:26 PM

court costs will add money, if you think you can win go, but be ready with more than 50 bucks. if you dont want to chance it, mail in the 50

maroman88 04-10-2009 09:26 PM

its a shady line.. technicaly if its private proprety the property owner would have to sign a complaint or be responsible for having the vehicle removed.. UNLESS its a fire zone violation

BurninrubberGT 04-10-2009 09:28 PM

no one would of complained about me, im the nicest freakin kid, and of the 2 stores that are there in that park of the parking lot i work at one and know all the ones at the other.

and i just went through all my learning to drive stuff with all the laws, there is not one thing about parking in 2 spots, so cant i fight that i was never informed about the law and should have recievd a warning? if it was never tought why should i be punished right? i seriously didnt know i could get a ticket for this crap

sweetbmxrider 04-10-2009 09:35 PM

there is going to be a town statue for it. they don't have to teach you everything, you have to learn on your own.

I have had officers say something to me about parking crooked, but never heard of anyone getting a ticket for it.

sweetbmxrider 04-10-2009 10:22 PM

not unless there was a complaining witness. a cop could be one too if i'm thinking this correctly.

Private property with open public access means public enforcement and rules. I know it applies to all the malls around here, police can pull you over and ticket you just like the street.

yeah well like tim just cleared up, its all fair game. should have a badge number on the ticket too. the witness would just sign i believe, not fill out the actual ticket  i would keep a book in my golve box then! you kidding!?
