Weather is supposed to be awsome, most likely applebees for half price apps after. so who is going friday night?

Im either going to island or etown that night. Any word on how track prep is so far this season on friday nights? Everyone one ls1tech doesn't have too many positive words.

sorry new york auto show on friday, has anyone been to this years(not to steal the thread)

island's track prep has been outstanding! 1.38 60ft. almost every pass

even after a light misty rain, they got it right back to where it needed to be.

i was there for 3 hours including sitting down and eating, went through the whole show and then back to pontiac and chevy....just go to ny in the morning then track at night lol

I told him that. Wes might not come since he's going to the show too.

really? I just did a quick search over there, havent seen anything.

Anyhow, as for track prep, the prep is phenomenal, the problem is the other cars that are there. On a Friday night you cant expect to 60' like you would on a Saturday or Sunday, simply because there are hardly any slick cars to put rubber down on the starting line, just street tires tearing it up.

It doesn't matter what tracks street night you go to, thats the fact of it. If you want awesome traction, go on a day where there are slick cars there as well. If you drive well and react to how your car is reacting, you'll get decent (though not phenomenal) 60s anywhere as long as there's no liquid down. I had a 1.84 60' on BFG KDWS in my 2002 z28, so I can't say there's anything wrong wtih the prep. The amount of broken rears and driveshafts that there has been says the same thing. :lol:


As for this friday, I wont be there :( Out on the west coast til next thurs.

Just ask firebird67dude or lilredjeep91, they both blew their rears in the same night :nod:

Not a bad night, weather was great. Wish I got behind some vehicles laying down rubber but I expected it to be like that. Still managed a 10.42@126.86, go again tomorrow and see what happens.

It was packed! It took us forever to get in (almost an hour) and took a long time to get out as well. Crazy night.
