lt1 rear wheels
anybody have pics or a vid showing how you ground the center of your wheels to fit? just got my rims in and im lookin for more information before i start.
i can probably snap a couple cell phone pics when i get home.
I just took my drummel with the sanding drum attachment, and went around the inside of the rim a little till it slid on.

notice from the center cap out its black plastic, black rim, silver rim, rusted rim, silver rim. the clean silver is where you remove material from. you don't have to go all the way to the face of the rim either, just the width of the hub. its such a slight amount i can barely notice when i feel it. i was going to measure it with a micrometer for you but the battery was dead. you may need to remove just a slight amount from the angled section to make removal/install easy. post up if you have problems. 8-) edit: i used a pneumatic dremel with a tapered bit. just something to remove a little bit of metal at a time. |
umm its easy... just file evenly around the circle till it fits... not hard
the measurement it should be is 70.7. thank you for the help everyone.
so they fit? pics mounted? :D
i don't think im gonna have time till saturday, too many papers due... but i definitely will throw some pics up afterwards
thats fine 8-) glad they finally worked out for you
