found this http://www.ls1tech.com/forums/appear...ster-lens.html
going to give it a shot. i will post up how it works!! |
I've used regular 3M Compound, followed by Mother's Plastic Polish. Works great on all plastic, like light lenses, smooth dash trim, etc.

cool i'll try that if the plastix stuff doesn't work. getting that in the morning.

yea i was wondering the same thing... the plastic in the 88 is shottt
|
same here in the 92

is that a specific compound by 3M Steve? that polish was ok but i want to try and get the scratches a little less evident. i am going to try some more polish though, maybe let it sit longer.

I used the 3M Clearcoat Compound and a hand-held foam pad. If you're feeling brave, you could wetsand it with some 2000 grit sandpaper first, then hit it with the compound, then the polish. Try just the compound first, I think you'll be impressed. I had a lot of fine scratches on my gauge lens and also on the long black dashboard trim in the Monte, and it removed 99% of them. Good luck!
