awesome

Knipps 04-15-2009 05:48 PM

I gotta say that looks pretty good but I still prefer the orange

sweetbmxrider 04-15-2009 06:31 PM

get color matched wheels. either spokes or lip. not those wheels in particular, just any. looks sweeet as hell though

DevilDougWS6 04-15-2009 07:02 PM

it looks very plain on the camaro compared to the zr1, but still a sechsy color. definitely needs some ZR1 wheels.

NJ Torque 04-15-2009 07:13 PM

looks good,,

maroman88 04-15-2009 07:17 PM

very niiice

transmaro93 04-15-2009 07:20 PM

they make a dark "midnight" blue (dont know the actual name, feel free the chime in al)... i "built my own" on the website in that color... man that color is deff my favorite on the new car... that or the red pearl they offer is sweet too....i agree the cyber gray looks better on the vettes....

Tsar 04-15-2009 07:20 PM

Outside - yes. Inside - no.

BonzoHansen 04-15-2009 08:18 PM

is the handprint om the RH side of the trunk lid (next to the bowtie) an option or a standard feature?

The backup lights look like a serious afterthought - like the marker lights on a 68-69

BigAls87Z28 04-15-2009 08:31 PM

Very sharp, but Victory Red is till for me.
Im surprised that the darker RS wheels dont match the paint better.

Slo86Bird 04-15-2009 10:02 PM

Challenger is 97698648634397850986 times better.

I assume that calculation is solely based on looks? Since the dodge is heavier, slower, costlier and drinks more gas.

I assume so. I do prefer the looks of the challenger though. However, I can't decide which car is more hideous inside.

Ninja edit* I'm still looking forward to taking Al's car around the track!

I think I just changed the color I want on my dream Camaro.

But I do agree with Tsar, the interior isn't too pretty.

I belive your calculator is broken. It forgot to carry the 1, so in fact the Camaro wins by two times the crap you posted.

Take away design, Camaro beats it in every single quantative test.
Price, power, handling, braking, ride, fuel efficency
The only thing the Challenger beats Camaro on is size, weight, and slab sidedness.

Slo86Bird 04-16-2009 02:29 PM

the challenger is so much nicer. idc about size or gas mileage or any of that ****. look what i drive. u think i care about gas mileage and size?

transmaro93 04-16-2009 04:12 PM

challenger is over priced and the mustang is under powered... camaro is jussssst right....!

The Fixer 04-16-2009 07:02 PM

That gray is beautiful!! They had a red SS, a silver SS, and an orange LT at the Auto Show, and they all look awesome too.

Pictures don't do that interior justice. You and Tsar need to go to the NYIAS and sit in it; you'll be more than impressed. I'm 5'3", and could get comfortable and not look like a midget. The seats are very supportive, and the gauges are super nice. The only "oddball" thing is having to look down near the center console for the fuel/volts/oil/temp gauges, but that's how it was in '69. I was even able to stuff my 5-year old son in the back seat and he was comfy. :)

The Camaro has a lot of things, but it sure doesnt have magic Steve.

Coolant and Fuel are in the IP. The four guages are volt, trans temp, oil pressure, and oil temp I belive.
Seats are VERY good. Cant wait to see if they will swap out into the third gen. The cloth and leathe seats have the same shape, and both hold you down.

To Slo, you are about performance and about not paying a bunch for it. You are about having the baddest car on the block.
Camaro is that, sir.
Ford cannot offer a 400hp+ engine unless you spend over 40k. Challenger's 400hp+ car cost around 40k as well.
Camaro gives you 426hp for 31k. Along with Brembo brakes that give you best in class braking. Along with super strong IRS and agile IFS with variable rate steering rack and pinion.
So, do you really want a Challenger?? Lets get the paperwork started. /salesman

I just checked the pic I took of the cluster, and you are correct. Also, one Camaro I sat in had leather, the other had cloth, and they felt the same, so I believe they're the same seat. They're friggin' awesome!! I know in the pictures I've seen, the headrests look ridiculously high, but they're not when you're sitting in it.

BonzoHansen 04-16-2009 09:50 PM

^^^LOL on the 3rd gen swap comment. I thin I pissed Settlemire off last summer when I said the 5th gen is gonna make a great parts car.

BigAls87Z28 04-16-2009 11:28 PM

Ahahaha...look good Steve. Ill start drafting the paperwork...

Here is the GF in the IVER car at Indy. She's 5'3-5'4. Somehow I fit in the same space....Im not sure how, but I fit fine.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...d/IMG_1356.jpg

And yes, the seats are great, both in leather and cloth. I like the sporty cloth personally. Its not that mouse fur in 4th gens.

Teds89IROC 04-17-2009 07:30 AM

looks awesome, however I wish the SS models had an SS emblem in the middle instead of the bowtie....but whatever lol

ar0ck 04-17-2009 12:21 PM

Something about it I'm just not buying yet. I have to sit in one and really study it for a bit to get the feal. I swear I have a mental block that is preventing me from actually liking it.
