Gasoline powered Radio Control Boats
Guys, I'm putting some of my not-so-old hobby stuff up for sale. I used to be very into R/C, and got into boats. Now I'm a homeowner, which means that for the time being, I'm cutting out everything but my cars.
First one: Aeromarine Avenger 44 Catamaran Asking $700 http://home.comcast.net/~keith.mezzi.../avenger44.jpg http://home.comcast.net/~keith.mezzi...er44/front.jpg http://home.comcast.net/~keith.mezzi...ger44/rear.jpg Up for sale is an Aeromarine Avenger 44" Catamaran. This is a fast, stable hull. It has a modified Zenoah G260PUM that has been professionally ported, equipped with a lightened piston, fitted with a Walbro 257 carburetor and exhausted through a zero band dry exhaust pipe. The outdrive is fitted with a professionally modified and balanced 6518/3 blade stainless steel propeller. The hull has no cracks or stress fractures. The fuel tubing is all yellow tygon, and the water cooling is all blue large diameter silicone. The water pickup is in the rudder. This boat is also equipped with a Prather clutch with upgraded bearings, and a Walbro water pump. This means it can idle in place without overheating, which makes it ideal for sport use! I've only run this boat a few times before the engine upgrades were done. It was clocked at 60-62 MPH. The test run, after it was re-assembled, was clocked at 65 MPH, running rich. It has a lot more in it. http://home.comcast.net/~keith.mezzi...er44/bilge.jpg http://home.comcast.net/~keith.mezzi...er44/extra.jpg http://home.comcast.net/~keith.mezzi...ger44/gear.jpg http://home.comcast.net/~keith.mezzi...ger44/prop.jpg The rundown: Avenger 44" Catamaran Fiberglass hull Aeromarine Rudder and prop strut assembly Zenoah G260PUM motor with Redline ported cylinder, lightened piston, port-matched carburetor isolator, port-matched water cooled exhaust flange, aeromarine cooling head, Walbro 257 carburetor. Prather Clutch with upgraded bearings Aeromarine engine mount Zero band dry tuned pipe exhaust with silencer Walbro Water Pump Autobailers allow the water to drain while under power Fiberglass radio box 1/4 scale Futaba S3302 Servo for steering Futaba S3004 Servo for throttle Futaba R133F Receiver Futaba Magnum T3PDF FM Transmitter SenDEC FastTach engine tachometer Now, on to the extras: Red touch-up paint Prather flex drive grease Spare mildly modded cylinder Extra Tygon tubing Extra silicone tubing Walbro water pump rebuild kit Walbro 257 carburetor rebuild kit Spare intake gaskets Prop strut Spare flex shaft Spare prop shaft Spare led teflon bearings for prop strut Extra prop nuts Carburetor linkage prop wash water pickup spare exhaust O-rings Aeromarine stainless propeller drive dog Spare engine mount isolators For fuel I always used white gas (Camp stove gas) which is readily available at Walmart or camping goods stores. It has a very long shelf life even after mixed with oil, comes pre-measured in 1 gallon metal cans, and more importantly, doesn't stink or leave varnish behind when it evaporates. I've got well over $1800 invested in this boat. Don't have time to use it, and would rather see it go to someone who will. The next one: Warehouse Hobbies Manta Ray Asking $650 http://home.comcast.net/~keith.mezzi...aray/rside.jpg http://home.comcast.net/~keith.mezzi...aray/lside.jpg http://home.comcast.net/~keith.mezzi...taray/rear.jpg Up for sale is my 55" Warehouse Hobbies Manta Ray. I bought all the parts from Warehouse Hobbies a year ago, built the boat, and only ran it (In fresh water only) 5-6 times. It's go some upgrades from the standard Warehouse Hobbies Manta Ray. One of the biggest improvements was a professionally balanced and modified 3 blade prop. A Walbro 257 carburetor added a significant amount of power and speed, as well. The intake isolator and exhaust flange have been port matched to maximize flow. The boat has been clocked at 42-44 MPH in it's current configuration. This is a great hull for rough water. It's stable, quick and fun. This boat is also equipped with a clutch and water pump. That means you can let off the gas and it will sit still and idle without overheating, which makes it ideal for sport use. http://home.comcast.net/~keith.mezzi...aray/bilge.jpg http://home.comcast.net/~keith.mezzi...aray/radio.jpg http://home.comcast.net/~keith.mezzi...aray/extra.jpg What you get: Warehouse Hobbies Manta Ray (Yellow) Zenoah G260PUM with port matched intake and exhaust, Walbro 257 carburetor Warehouse Hobbies clutch assembly with grease fitting for the flex shaft New water pump Low mounted fuel tank with fill port and brass pickup tube bent to sit in rear of tank - Will run until dry, approximately 45 minutes. Warehouse Hobbies SPD-III dual rudder assembly Warehouse Hobbies SPD-III surface drive assembly Warehouse Hobbies stainless trim tabs 7015/3 Propeller - Professionally balanced and modified by Dasboata JR Racing XS3 FM Radio GP3300 5 cell (sub C) receiver pack - Plenty of run time and amp delivery for servos 1/4 scale Hitec HS705MG Metal geared large scale servo for steering Hitec HS-545BB servo for throttle Hand driven fueling pump The steering servo is connected via a Y harness, so that it gets full voltage/amperage from the battery pack and isn't limited by the capacity of the receiver. Now, the extras you'll get with the boat, as I won't be needing them any more: Spare set of trim tabs Spare water pump Radio failsafe Extra propeller nuts Spare propeller thrust washers Spare Propeller drive dog Spare flex shaft Spare engine gaskets Black cylinder cooling jacket Carburetor horn Bilge drain plug Extra tygon tubing Exhaust flange Spare rudder linkage ball kit Original Warehouse Hobbies fuel cell and mounting hardware Zenoah manual Zenoah engine tool This is just about everything you'll need to splash the boat and have fun! All you need is fuel, 2 cycle oil, and batteries for the transmitter. Mix the 2 cycle oil and fuel at a 8 oz - to - 1 gallon of fuel ratio. |
