check out this nascar crash from today
 carl edwards came from 23rd spot late in the race to take the lead then this happened....
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gpJenLQ4uYI 8 fans were injured by flying debris and afterwards edwards admited it was his fault. |
nascar will wait until fans are killed to slow those cars down. idiots

had there been no "out of bounds" rule, keselowski would have simply dove down onto the apron when carl came down on him, and it would have been a drag race to the finish. but knowing if he went under that line, nascar would penalize him and take away the win, he held his ground, and let carl send himself for a ride....... |
not like that, those things suck and bunch the cars up. I mean serious like 25% less displacement.
edit: I just watched ESPN. CE said "we'll just do this until someone gets killed" Nascar is a joke. They have historically ignore until something bad happens. They needed #3 to die before they got serious - the petty kid and the other kid that died the year before of very similar injuries didn't wake them up. |
god damn im mind blown watching that......
1. as soon as that car went side ways it took lift, these cars are so aerodynamic that we have pushed these cars so far into aero that they are now simply a airplane. 2. if that fence would have been 3 feet shorter that car would have continued to fly into the crowd and would have killled people 3. that was such a dirty move that this reminds me of the movie cars at the end of the race the guy gets turned off the track and that red car pushes the damaged car across the finish line. 4. Im upset i forgot to watch the race today. |
reminds me a little of bodine's truck wreck at daytona a some years back. ugly - the one where his engine ended up 100s of feet away form the rest of the wreck, the truck just disintegrated. A friend of mine was there and she had her face badly injured by a part of his truck. Poor girl has no feeling in 1/2 her face now.

what was a dirty move? |
Thanks, I could not remember Irwin.
Edit: http://www.nascar.com/video/cup/2009...car/index.html Ryan Newman: "Talledega is short we're gonna crash we just don't know when" |
i believe one was at michigan and one was at louden nh, off the top of my head. their deaths started the development of the safer barriers, and dales death mandated the hans device and full face helmet, as well as many changes in the seats

Edwards tried to throw the block, he was late, he paid the price. If NASCAR is that serious about not letting guys get that low on the speed way they shoudl tear up the pavement and plant some more grass |

Hey, tear out the first 20 rows of seats in those areas. Wait, that will cost money.
|
atleast the fences of today are a little better then yesteryear.
this is bobby allison hitting the fence at the same track in 1987. check the fence damage there:shock: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wySxP-tWZQU |

ricky boby haha

With several laps to go (from the restart) Jr. was pushing another car in front of him and they pulled away. Now comes Carl and Brad with a better head of steam and they are closing fast. Cannot figure why Jr's spotter did not tell him go high (since he didn't pull out from behind the car he was pushing) and pick up those 2 cars closing fast. They could not go under him and he would have been pushed right to the front because the oncoming cars had such a run. :|
|
NASCAR sure makes driving in a circle difficult.
|
i want the restrictor plates gone, if the drivers have skill there wont be many more crashes. pansies and their safety.
