Rear Window Tint

Is there a company that can tint the rear window on a 98 Camaro without air bubbles when their done?

sweetbmxrider 04-29-2009 11:00 AM

most places guarantee there won't be bubbles otherwise they redo it.

426 Wedge 04-29-2009 11:02 AM

The place in Brick said it's normal for that style window. Which I cant believe.

sweetbmxrider 04-29-2009 11:08 AM

what place? autoimage on chambers bridge did mine. the only place there is a problem is on the dot matrix at the top of the glass. you can sand that down first or paint it before they tint it.

definately BS...i think they messed up there and just dont want to redo it

FlyingDutchman 04-29-2009 11:31 AM

mine looks great and there are no bubbles...although it was done before i bought it

426 Wedge 04-29-2009 11:33 AM

I even had them use the 3M tint.

sweetbmxrider 04-29-2009 11:41 AM

well it will be bubbled for a week or two especially with the high temps the other day. if its there after two weeks, i'd have them redo it

426 Wedge 04-29-2009 12:26 PM

I took it back 1 month later and they gave me the line "that's the way they come out". Refused to redo it. Not to happy.

sweetbmxrider 04-29-2009 01:04 PM

where at? i would be pissed too. where are the bubbles?

426 Wedge 04-29-2009 03:34 PM

I just want to find a shop that can do it right!

same here...

19iroc88 04-29-2009 07:32 PM

what does a good tint job go for?

426 Wedge 04-29-2009 07:54 PM

Depending on what type of film is used you can pay anywhere between $150 to $210.

madness410 04-30-2009 02:17 AM

and depending on what you want done..if you want more tinted the cost is going to be more.

dude if i were you id speak to a manager there about it, there is no reason for the tint to be bubbling a month after an installation unless it was put on incorrectly

madness410 04-30-2009 02:18 AM

also how old are you? when i got my tint on my civic done both of my windows popped off of the regulators, they had to have messed with something, they didnt take me seriously because i was young.

Yea ill be visiting those guys after i get the car lowered.

Thats garbage. Keep complaining to them till they fix it.

426 Wedge 05-12-2009 04:39 AM

I've decided not to have it fixed. They will remove it and I will get a refund. I need to keep it until I find the shop that can do it right. My stereo components will be in plain sight if I remove it now. You know, when i went back the mgr. told me "they all do this". He knew about it before I had it done but didn't tell me. ASS

phantoms 05-12-2009 05:32 PM

at the very top the matrix dots tint has trouble sticking to that if thats where your talking about.. best thing to do is dont tint the top and spray it black

sweetbmxrider 05-12-2009 05:38 PM

ya paint it or sand them down. mine isn't perfect up there, i think it looks cool.
