where can i get wheels painted
I am getting a set of Wagon Wheels on monday and i want to get them painted black with a red lip(saw them on a vette on corvetteforum.com and they look sick on a red car) just wanted to know where i can get this done and how much it would cost
Can of primer spray paint, gloss black spray paint, and Rim tape for a motorcycle... viola!
HardcoreZ28 can powdercoat them for you if you decide to go that route.
what color is your car? this is the best looking set of wagon wheels i've ever seen:
http://i39.tinypic.com/2w7odxw.jpg stole the pic off of here i don't know who's it is anyway how much are you looking to spend? i've helped a few friends spray paint wheels and they come out pretty well and actually hold up to quite a bit |

yeah...i have a picture but i cannot figure out how to post a picture
i would powdercoat and rim tape them. figure out what the hell he did for center caps too. looks a billion times better than the ones they usually have.
well i dont think those have center caps on them..but what is rim tape? cuz tape you can put on rims to make it look like part of the rim is painted?
ttt
yeah it looks like that vette doesnt have center caps. whoa that does look sick though
the motorcycle guys use it. its just to get that red stripe without painting it. i would just bring a wheel to a body shop with the pics and see if anyone wants to do it and how they would.
i know slp was starting to paint wheels but they are in toms river so not sure if you want to go all the way there or not
Do it yourself...few cans of primer and wheel paint. Sand the wheels first w/ a light grit sand paper...I paid 50 bucks in materials, you can either order it from summit/jegs or just run up to advanced.

so how would you do the stripe then?

id do the red first...then tape off the part you want to stay red. black goes over red easier than red goes over black

I am actually in the Middle of opening a Maaco in Union with my uncle right off of Rt. 22...so im thinking once we hire someone to paint, ill talk to him and let him do the wheels for me...we already have a paint booth here, so im thinking im better off waiting the few weeks till we open and letting them get done in a booth rather then rush it, try to do it myself at my house, and them wind up looking like crap
any chance you'll offer a discount to njfboa members? hehe
I'd like a discount lol..nice and close to me in Roselle Park...traffic sucks getting to that maaco
Ill see what I can do, Ill have to talk to my Uncle once we get up and running
