KirkEvil 04-30-2009 09:38 PM

Please for the love of god listen to this guy. Brown will totally not go over well. I realize its different and the color might appeal to you but you will never ever be able to sell it and ever heard the expression about polishing a turd?. You will be the proud owner of a 3400LB turd.

Personally I think your car looks awesome with the current color scheme and exactly the way it is, why change a sleek black car with red and chrome accents to a **** stain brown car. I'm sorry but it makes no sense to me.

SamhainZ28 04-30-2009 10:00 PM

maybe a black with a little bit of a bronze flake in it would cool, they don't make brown cars anymore for a reason lol

BigRed 04-30-2009 10:08 PM

i think you should go with some kinda red scheme

GrandmasterCow 04-30-2009 10:11 PM

i'd say stay with your current scheme. it looks very shiny and clean and well highlighted.

transmaro93 05-01-2009 04:17 PM

deffinitly not sticking with black.. i hate black... wish i never bought a black car in the first place... and it was between ralley green and a rootbeer color... and im still considering green... but root beer is growing on me... i really dont care if other people like it or not obviously but i appreciate your opinions... have you ever seen jessy james rootbeer viper.... did that look like a turd?... the shapes of the two cars arent that far off... that thing looked sick... keep an open mind.... F red F sunset orange unlesss its was factory that way.... orange has been done way to much in recent years... blue is nice but not for me... deff not black... or yellow or purple.... it was either green or brown and im leaning toward brown... might be the only brown lt1 formula in the world who knows... the whole car is in my head the way i wanna do it and to me it looks sweeeeeet..... like a rootbeer hard candy.... boooyaaaa thanks again for the photoshop

enRo 05-01-2009 04:24 PM

Ive seen a nicely done candy apple green LS1 WS6... probably one of the nicest colors I have seen on a 4th gen other than the factory options.

Id say go with green, or ditch the brown idea and go for something else. Rootbeer color is ok, but you dont want your car looking that old do ya?

transmaro93 05-01-2009 04:58 PM

i mean yea i kind of like it haha.... i always liked brown...

Formulalt1 05-01-2009 05:00 PM

Eh, its your car. Do whatever you will like best but personally I think it will look horrible and wasn't a fan of the Jesse James Brown viper either.

enRo 05-01-2009 05:20 PM

Yea, it's more of personal preference, if you like it that much, nobody here is going to stop you  You will get mixed opinions, and in this case, alot of negative ones.

How about a creme soda color?

transmaro93 05-01-2009 05:31 PM

ohh man i love creme soda... my favorite but nahh... these cars look best in dark colors just like me and adam were talken about the other day... just cant deal with black anymore... i may still do it green... but i really wanted to see what it looked like in rootbeer and do like it so im still up in the air... i ahve to do some spray out panels and see what i like in the sun better...

FIcamaroRE92 05-01-2009 07:04 PM

Dr. Pepper color?

lol, what about silver or white?

transmaro93 05-01-2009 11:04 PM

actually i love white... but i cant see doing all the work i plan on doing and just a color change alone to white is boring... i mean its alot of work just to paint it white.... not a fan of silver though

NastyEllEssWon 05-01-2009 11:23 PM

it looks right when done right

I would go darker, much darker. Thats way too light. I wish I had photoshop on this computer, I would do it real quick for you.
I think lexus has a really nice dark brown metalic color, and the mocha brown on the Buick Enclave is really nice.

Go darker with maybe a dark gray/graphite stripes down the side of the hood.

madness410 05-02-2009 01:13 AM

dont listen to other people man, its your car do what youd like. but i think a really really dark brown would look good just as al said. i really dont think it would hurt your resale value unless it was a really crappy paint job or ugly color.

ive seen honda accords painted HOTT PINK. now u know that resale value will be ****ed up.

LTb1ow 05-02-2009 07:35 AM

Resale value? Who thinks of that? Whatever it was or is, its sure falling, and fast.

BigRed 05-02-2009 08:35 AM

this dark enough?
