i need a cherry picker

The title says it all. I'm putting in a new motor in the t/a. And I don't have a engine hoint to get the motor out and put the new motor in. And help?

Its doable. Seen it done on boats, but its diffucult. Cherry pickers can be finicky.

May wanna try dropping the subframe and lifting the car with the cherry picker and lowering it over the front engine/subframe.

no... just get a hoist and do it the right way. Post up in the regional forum and see if you can get someone local to help.

Things to remember
-completely remove the distributor (or you will break it)
-remove the wiper motor (or you will break it)
-double check all the grounds and pigtails (I usually pull the ECM harness out of the fender and pull the wiring off when the engine is out)
-Are you pulling the trans also?
if yes, make sure to plug the tailshaft (I use the front yoke of a old driveshaft)
If no, remember to support the bellhousing, and unclip the cooler lines from the oil pan

-now is a great time to do motor mounts, and to clean and spray bomb the engine bay
