Recall 2010 camaro
wow. gm keeps on killing the camaro
there calling people telling them not to drive their cars. isnt that a wondefull phone call
way to go, again...again....x278331231 gm
Give them credit for being proactive. God knows the media would if this were Toyota.
I would rather get a call to telling me not to drive it because of whatever, than drive the car and get stuck on the road. GM is protecting there image with this. There's a problem, fix it. If I was one of the big wigs at GM, I would rather have One thousand recalls over 1 dead car on the road.

its a brand new car... its expected
1. As stated, the cracked bumper was on a PRE PRODUCTION car.
2. This battery cable issue has been known. It is not a major recall. It shouldn't take very much to fix this. I can't imagine why everyone is blowing it out of proportion. OMG THE NEW CAMARO HAS A......RECALL!! Is it really that big of a deal? It is the first few models of a brand new style... |
Its a minor thing but its gotta kill someone not to drive their brand new car, especially something like this

true, does it void the warranty if u do it urself
meh the only problem is that gm has been shoving this car in our faces for 5 years. sure these are the first few production models but i mean come on the cars been around for 5 years now. wheel weights on calipers, shorting out battery cables these are things that are pretty vital components to the car and shouldve got the upper most level of attention during production.
whats next? a problem with the motors blowing up and everyone just telling everyone to calm down gm is taking care of it. they were kinda banking on the camaro to help them out a bit. he just keeps teasing him with the car door lock. |
No it doesnt. But why spend money when they will do it for free?
Again...the bumper thing was a preproduction car without bumper supports. Its only 300 cars. Relax. |

No one expects it to happen, but first year cars tend to have more problems.
Could have "enhanced warranty coverage" it like Toyota did with the 3.0 sludge motors, or the Siennas that have a host of problems, or the cam shafts snapping on the Tundra, or the torque converters going bad in them, or the trans itself, or the tailgate doors crumpling, or the frames rotting on tacomas and tundras.... |
Every car GM makes has some kind of recall on it. most of the time its something small and stupid other times its not. All recalls have to be performed by the dealers, so that means: No you can't do it your self, The parts need to complete most recalls aren't even avalible to the public anyways. GM keeps a record of all warrenty work perform on any GM car at the dealers so if you manange to do it your self it would be covered under warrenty.
This is common, it happens on all first year, new models. wen the third gens came out on their first year, they had their problems, and thn wen they changed the body and everything in 93, everything was ass backwards on them. atleast gm is proactive and fixing the problem.
well considering its a ''2010'' model and the car was what unveiled sometime in 2005 would make it just about 5 years this car has been floating around in some form or another

Perception is reality to people - I am an owner of 2 f bodies.....I find them poorly made.... that is my reality....and now my perception of the new camaro is less... nuff said
