Woah.

Formulalt1 05-08-2009 11:44 PM

Damn, they really know how to crumble huh. I am curious to see what the other car looks like cause that car looks like they must have been doing like 100+MPH. I am shocked it didn't go up in flames.

cdacda13 05-08-2009 11:50 PM

I'd still buy it.

Slo86Bird 05-08-2009 11:53 PM

looks better now then when it was "new"

madness410 05-08-2009 11:54 PM

I don't think you would get convicted either. I could totally see temporary insanety kicking in if someone did that to my car and didn't have insurance or the money to cover the damage. I think I would just go ape ***** and start taking people out.

NastyEllEssWon 05-09-2009 01:21 AM

whens the part out start

sweetbmxrider 05-09-2009 07:16 AM

in for the killing and the part out

they seriously must have been hauling. its amazing how well the car held up. the driver door looks rather mint and the sunroof is open and the glass looks intact. that says something.

BonzoHansen 05-09-2009 08:01 AM

I wonder how fast they were going - they had to be going at least a wee bit fast, I'd suppose. It actually looks like it did pretty good. Look at the 1st pic, the roof does not appear to be bent/twisted at all and the sunroof is still intact, and in the last pic the door line still looks pretty straight and even the 1/4 window is still in place. The rear seat area looks unscathed as well.

maroman88 05-09-2009 08:09 AM

wow that blows!

as far as parting it out goes... the drivetrain will sell, but theres no real market for other parts yet, noones had the car long enough to break common wear items lol

Jensend 05-09-2009 08:45 AM

Depending on the impact speed, the gas tank looks like it may not be that well protected in a crash. Surprised there was no fire.

As for parts, the brakes are probably fairly desirable for someone looking to upgrade an earlier car.

Guessing the driver of the offending car is underaged. Pretty sure the parent's/family are liable for the damages. Of course, there's still likely a loss due to depreciation. As long as the people in the Camaro are unhurt, it's just a matter of replacing the car- which is obviously in production. Hopefully, with good crash photos and a good lawyer, the court will provide appropriate compensation and punishment.

Anyone know the impact speed?

those mufflers are massive

baddest434 05-09-2009 09:11 AM

rear ended by a bunch of teenagers driving with no insurance / licenses

so now the parents of said a-holes will get sued ?

i'd kill someone too!!! that sucks for the owner. atleast he won't have to return it for a recall.

x4.. then claim temporary insanity.... I was in an accident a few months ago with a friends car and it was the other persons fault, i kept cool but in this situation i would kill someone.

NjbadSS 05-09-2009 09:44 AM

wowww.. I thought about this the other day actually.. when are we going to see the first crashed one..and here the trend begins. This was from someone else being stupid, but we will see a lot of stupid people wrapping them around trees and poles unfortunitely

BurninrubberGT 05-09-2009 10:24 AM

X whatever its up to on killing them

thats horrible, guy's been waitng so long for it, finally gets it and its wrecked by a bunch of idiot kids without licenses, i hope they are never allowed to get a license in their life.....but on the bright side this guy can afford a bunch of camaro's after he sues

BonzoHansen 05-09-2009 10:33 AM

I want the seats & console too!

I love interweb macho talk! Kill them! Yes, go to jail over a car! Don't be dumb, do the grown up thing - sue the crap out of them! LOL

I assume the tank is further forward - the don't hand then out the rear like on my 77 anymore. Just from these pics, which are few, it looks like it took a hit pretty good. I see no fluid leaking anywhere.

BonzoHansen 05-09-2009 10:37 AM

Also, I forgot..DIBS!!!
