What converter is everyone running?
 

just bought a ss3600, curious to see wut everyone else is running in there 4l60

Brand wise or size?

both, i had a fuddle in my last car and it wasnt all that great..supposedly they've gotten better..just curious to see wut the popular converter is for a fullweight bolt on car

Nope, Etown would be closer, but eh, people like atco better.

gotcha...etown is at least an hour and a half from me

In a GTO 3.91 gears:

Vig 3600- 1.6 60' trap 113-112 mph
Protorque 2800- 1.7 60' trap 111 mph

interesting..the looser converter trapped higher.. usually its the other way around. tighter more mph, but the low end suffers

Yeah I found it weird. I gotta do some more testing with the new converter (protorque) maybe I can get my 60' down into the 1.6 range

Im running a Edge Racing Converter. 2800 RPM stall. No complaints.

The SS3600 is one of the better converter. Most used stall in a ls1 fbody..
