Its not the engines fault its owner is a idiot. 1, how the hell could you put brake fluid in a oil container or 2, how could you just pour a bottle of brake fluid into the oil?. I think we are going to be seeing a new trend of people claiming to have done idiotic things engine wise on forums to get a little attention. This so stinks of a copy cat Nos energy drink thread.

NastyEllEssWon 05-29-2009 12:21 AM

lol these pop up all the time

Formulalt1 05-29-2009 12:29 AM

I have been part of the staff of one of the largest automotive forum on the net since 04 (and posting on car forums since 01)and I have not seen complete lack of commen sense like this when working on or around cars like I have seen posted within the past month. People have always made mistakes from lack of commen "technical" knowledge but we are just talking plain old commen sense. How can you take someone serious who claims to have sprayed 4 cans of brake cleaner into his crankshaft cause he poured 2 quarts of brake fluid into there. I am totally calling BS on this one, no one who can read can be that stupid.

NastyEllEssWon 05-29-2009 12:31 AM

youd be surprised. go to jiffy lube and have them change the oil on your car.

First off, anyone who really did what this guy did would not have the balls to say something like this. I can't believe how some people actually fall for some of these threads.

Look at the amount of views it brings to the site...they will find a whole bunch of new members just from single threads like that. I'd call it an "internet publicity stunt." I'm surprised there haven't really been any here.

LTb1ow 05-29-2009 10:10 AM

Isn't brake fluid red?

Thats just pure stupidity, trade in the LT1 and go buy a damn skateboard.

If it was a true thing that is.

Like I said all about getting attention, its not like the site is going to get more sponsorship dollars because of it and if anything it might wind up costing them money having the additional traffic. Plus, give it a month (or less) and people will barely remember that thread let alone the site.
