car law question?

ok so im leaving for myrtle beach june 31st late at night. ill be out of state till the 8th. is it illegal to have my front tag off my car while im out of jersey? im sure it is but just figured i would ask.

Im not sure but i doubt other state cops will know jersey laws or bother giving you a ticket. Even if there state has the front plate law they cant give you a ticket since your registred in nj.

dont think so... as long as the state you are in doesnt require it... i lived in PA for 2 years and never had a front plate on... it was jersey registered.... never got a ticket there.... got plenty of tickets in jersey though for it on the weekends.... ahha... stupid rule...

whatever state the car is registered in, is the requirement for your car, so technically YES they can ticket you

emolineaux 05-29-2009 09:11 PM

yea i agree but its the law lol. cars look so much better without them.

Like Mike said, "technically" they can...will they? I think you already know the answer to that question.
