Am I messed up for this?

Just a warning, this has nothing to do with cars...I just really need to know how much I'm in the wrong here.

Story time.

So, today was a Birthday party for a friend of mine. I ended up getting him in the face with cake a few times, but it was taken in good stride. He ended up soaking me from head to toe in water- to the point where I had to change clothes. I might as well have jumped in a pool I was so soaked. Even though I had no other clothes to drive home in, I had somewhere else to go after his house, and he got my new designer sneakers wet- I took it all without a word. I ended up changing into a pair of sweats and shirt he gave me, he was sitting with his new little.. girl toy/thing on his lap, and I was wringing my clothes out nearby. I ended up sneaking up on him and twisting my sweatshirt over his head so that he got a little wet, and splashed said girl/thing that was on his lap. She jumps up and gets all mad ( though she barely got any water on her.. nothing that wouldn't have dried within ten mintes ), and he looks at me and goes, "Are you a Fk'in idiot?" Not only was he dead serious, but it was to the point where not only did everyone fall quiet, but they all stared. I was mortified!

So, I gathered my stuff and left. I texted him about it and all he could really say was 'Oh, well she ( girl/thing ) got mad whether she got a little wet or not, it was a dumb move.' Minus the fact that I apologized immediately afterwards. I mean, I know I'm some to blame, but is it just me, or is was he really messed up for going off on me the way he did?

whats good for the goose is certainly well enough for the gander. nice move btw...revenge is always fun

was it his girlfriend? or are they dating? if so girls get madd jealous, keep that in mind she could have thought you were flirting with him.

but even so if he is a friend of yours he shouldnt be speaking to you like that and embarrassing you in front of everyone

Knipps 05-30-2009 11:37 PM

he most likely only got mad to keep her happy/tame. Not a big deal IMO

madness410 05-30-2009 11:41 PM

i would think its a big deal being embarrassed...no friend should ever do that

98tadriver 05-30-2009 11:51 PM

sounds like you have a thing for him and you were jealous that he had a "girl toy/thing" on his lap.

I agree with this but I also think it was wrong to belittle you like that in front of everyone.

thats i what ive gathered from this story. Im not saying shes a bad person or anything, but it definately sounds like flirting. she just picked the wrong time to do that lol

the guy was definately a doosh for saying what he said too. he shouldve just laughed it off

I've got absolutely no feelings for him, he dated my best friend for almost four years, and was like an older brother to me. Nothing more than that.

And I'm not saying she's a bad person either. I apologized again as I was leaving and she was fine about it, it's him that's got me more aggrivated. And no, they aren't dating. She's only seventeen, she's not even legal! They've only been talking for maybe two weeks.

im not talking about her, im talking about you not being a bad person/in the wrong lol

17 isnt bad, how old is he? i read somewhere that age of consent in nj is 16, so technically as long as the parents are cool with it, he's fine lol.

OxForzaxoXo 05-31-2009 12:24 AM

Oh lol, my bad.

He's 22.

BigAls87Z28 05-31-2009 12:42 AM

17 is fair play.
Kind of a stupid move, but he should have kept his attitude in check.

CamaroJoe1987 05-31-2009 12:46 AM

Again though, first of all.. it's only water. And it wasn't a bucket full. It less than a hand full. There was honestly no reason for either of them to react the way either of them did. I mean- I suppose I don't entirely blame her for maybe being a little aggrivated, but it wasn't intentional. It wasn't smart for him to soak me from head to toe, either, but I suppose everyone handles things differently.

Ian 05-31-2009 02:54 PM

I don't think you were in the wrong, like you said, its just water. I can see how some people might think it was uncalled for, but I think those people are stupid and need to lighten up.
