what have you removed?

what did your cars come with that they no longer have?

mine.......
air, egr, hvac, radio, spare and jack, bumper support, anti lock brakes, traction control, cruise control, front sway bar and all brackets, battery tray/coolant overflow, windshield washers......

probably more....

but, it will pass nj inspection and has full interior.

Whiplash Performance 06-05-2009 01:20 PM

The Goat:
Air condition components
Passenger and rear seats some times
Rear stock spoiler
The RUBBER inserts in the nostrils
The Trailer hitch brace (Yes that's right we have a trailer hitch brace on the goats)

BonzoHansen 06-05-2009 01:22 PM

sweetbmxrider 06-05-2009 01:24 PM

NJ Torque 06-05-2009 01:25 PM

LTb1ow 06-05-2009 01:26 PM

Rear seats
Cruise control
Traction control
Working on interior stuff now
AIR/EGR

Prob added more to the car weight wise though... lol

5.7TA 06-05-2009 01:45 PM

AC Belt......still have components

baddest434 06-05-2009 03:27 PM

a chitty 305
but don't laugh to hard, it was an 11 sec 305 (of course on spray)

racerz 06-05-2009 03:40 PM

rear sear,HVAC setup,EGR,AIR injection,exhaust system,seat belts,sound deadening,ABS brakes,cruise,stereo,speakers and wiring,side impact bars in doors,removed all undercoating, also had stock seats lightened.

NJ346 06-05-2009 04:00 PM

removed- sway bar, the main backseat part(buckets are still there), spare tire and jack, a.i.r., egr, and heavy ass front tires.

Added-10" sub, subframe connectors, LCA relocation brackets, various other suspension parts that are heavier than stock.

All in all, I'd say I'm still down a few lbs from stock.

NastyEllEssWon 06-05-2009 08:06 PM

jack/spare....rear seats...egr/air are gone...a/c is coming next

01SS 06-05-2009 08:26 PM

I think mine came with a certain reliability and lack of pain crossing railroad tracks. Yup thats all gone now.

Formulalt1 06-05-2009 09:51 PM

Air/EGR, resonator and A/C system. I am sure there are other things but can't think of them right now.

deadtrend1 06-07-2009 12:41 PM

The street legal'ness out of the LT1 ... :(

cats, spare tire + jack, TCS, cruse, front sway bar, Most of the AC

Savage_Messiah 06-07-2009 04:32 PM

Everything includes brackets

a/c, front sway, cruise control, carpet (done more cuz of t-top leaks than weight), rear seats and belts, hatch flap, spare and jack, airbags (drivers side is bolted in so there's not a big hole), front bumper support, trans-mounted exhaust hanger, some heat shields... all I can think of right now. Unless hood counts.

You removed all forms of life from it.

Savage_Messiah 06-07-2009 05:00 PM

no, still got spiders on the underside, little bastards

Formulalt1 06-07-2009 08:53 PM

 Kasey, I remember years ago when I had to like stand on the passenger side (cause you took the seats out) while we went for a test drive after we put a driveshaft in it (I think it was after the driveshaft.)

Jersey Mike 06-14-2009 12:31 PM

i went down to E-town with full street weight, just to see what she was capable of at full weight.
Taken out the spare tire, jack, and 12-disc changer since then.

I'm reading through your posts and it's made me curious, if I remove the AIR/EGR, can I still pass NJ inspection?

if its 97 up and you have cats, yes. you just have to get the computer tuned so that there is no check engine light for the egr/air. you can technically fail for visual, but, that would require the dmv guys to memorize where each and every cars egr/air parts would be

98tadriver 06-14-2009 01:42 PM

in the z28, ive removed nothing

the trans am, removed alot of things, and still have more to go :D

Thanks for the confirmation

EGR, AIR, rear seats, seatbelt components, spare jack/wheel, . probably a total of 70-90lbs. eh.

MonmouthCtyAntz 06-19-2009 08:54 AM

No AC components at all...The guy who owned before me was a drag racer so I think he lost everything but the rear seats.

69BirdX 06-22-2009 11:18 AM

Pretty much nothing....
