look at what i did today!!!
spring is the time to get in shape, right? figured the car could lose a few pounds, fat ass.
http://photos-c.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos..._3212132_n.jpg tryin to think green here so i got rid of my fuel lines.... http://photos-d.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos..._2482170_n.jpg more green thoughts, half way done.... http://photos-b.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos..._4936917_n.jpg thinkin about a few more things to remove. gotta get the compressor out still , might get rid of the washer reservoir, relocate some wires and possibly the pcm, maybe move the battery and change up the coolant reservoir, ahhh ideas ideas..... |
You need your AIR pump, you won't pass now. Without a sway bar you will have a lousy ride, and you can't go deleting fuel lines, you are lowing the value of your car!!!!
Bah! |
this is a race car, derr. i has mine trailtorer speed racecarer
LOL, looks good man.
i still dont understand why you deleated your sway bar... arent you still gonna DD this thing... yout gonna have loads of body roll.... i under stand people with racecars do it... but its not like your gonna be running 10's tomarrow haha.... i just dont get you guys sometimes... fuel lines are cool though that deff cleans it up alot!
He can't even drive tomorrow, forget running 10s.... ;)
thanks and the sway bar deletion helps transfer the nose weight onto the rear tires, thus better 60's. i don't think the body roll is going to be that ridic, i mean hop in a lincoln town car. plus, skinnies up front aint gunna help much, not that they will be on every day.....
Sweet, more things to add to the list for my car on Sunday!
Should pick up set of sway bar links that are for a Jeep. Jeep guys have ones that you can pull a c pin and they are disconnected. Surprised that no one has developed them yet for racing.
Jeeps are slow.
might look into that al. these 4th gens have brackets that mount to the frame rails as well that i took off. its where the bushings mount, !weight!
Maybe, !rear seats?
they are gone, i have delete boxes. belts and some hardware gone too. thinkin about different front seats though. anybody know what the thing is under the overflow bottle? i saw a vacuum line going to it when i was ridding the sway bar mount, then forgot to check it out further.
Prob for the hood latch.
dude dont take this as a jerk comment... but just be carefull when you drive this thing.... i think how much body roll you have is gonna really surprise you... dont want to see you hit a guard rail on an off ramp going like 40 or somthing... and also... again not to sound like a dick cuase in the end its your car... if your that concerned with racing.... BUILD A RACECAR out of your car... you have the down time now to do the engine... just do it and drive a beater around... depending on how fast my car is when im done... i might just make it into a race car and cage it and stuff... if its that fast i dont know how fast its gonna be yet... would like mid 11's but well just have to see...

Cause the hood latch cable can look like a vaccum line...
but that latch is in like plain sight...
Find me the cable for it. ;)
And what a jerk says that kinda stuff... geezzzz, not your car is it! lol ;) |
thanks for the concern brandon, i'll have to experience it though to really know if its an issue. i'm keeping the bar though so i can always throw it on.
hood latch is on driver side douche, this is under the coolant reservoir like just above the plastic fender. i might tuck the hood latch cable under the inner fender too.... |
^^^ haha you guys are crazy with this hiding business....
Gotta make things neat and tidy!
That way it is slow and nice looking. :) |
yeah i mean if i'm goin to be anchored, might as well look shweet
i DD my car with no front sway bar..it's not as bad as people make it out to be...plus it's weight off the nose:nod:
i wanna see your car from outside the car make a medium speed turn... maybe like 35 mph off ramp... but he W/E just just tryen to look out for adam...
