weird badges in 1987?

i ran a carfax report on my car a little over a year ago and im pretty sure it said iroc on it, but the car has z28 badges on the ground fx and also the dash...

looking at my buddy georges camaro who also has an 87 iroc has the same thing on his. did iroc badges not come out until the later year of it being around? or did both of our gfx and dashs get swapped out lol..what are the odds

From 85-87 the IROC package was an upgrade to the Z28. This is why the badging still says Z28 and the doors say IROC-Z.

From 88-90 GM had done away with the Z28 option, having IROC being the optional performance upgrade from the RS or sport coupe.

In 91 when they didn't own the IROC name anymore they brought back Z28 as the performance option.

My 87 had iroc badges on the door as well as an IROC badge on the dash.

Ya on the door itself and on the dash it had the IROC label on it. On the skirts it said Z28. I dont remember what it had on the rear bumper, i think it said Z28 as well.

As dan said from 85-87 the Iroc package was an upgrade to the z28 and all 85-87 Irocs had z28 emblems on the rockers and rear bumper.88-90 Irocs had Iroc z on the rockers and rear bumper
