thats why i do it. sure you can get them on with the rear jacked up but if you ever lift by the body, that happens

DevilDougWS6 06-19-2009 05:04 PM

Teds89IROC 06-19-2009 05:05 PM

what are those? nittos?

JL8Jeff 06-20-2009 11:32 AM

I trimmed the bumpstops on my old 96 SS when I ran the 315's. People really need to use their brains a little more often, especially when it comes to modifying stuff on a vehicle. :-?

yeah really. i should have taken an after pic. its much better now. still needs an adjustable phb but the bump stops aren't sitting on the tires.

I had the same problem. BFSawzall mod

Zero4488 06-20-2009 02:17 PM

IDK why you people insist on running 315's...275's do just fine....

sweetbmxrider 06-20-2009 03:21 PM

i don't think 275's fit on an 11 inch rim though

usp55 06-20-2009 08:10 PM

i have zero problems with 315's.

procamaroz28 06-20-2009 08:25 PM

ouch!! 315 dont work so well w/ the bumpstops...

BigAls87Z28 06-20-2009 11:31 PM

Ugh...getting sick to my stomach thinking about having to cut the stops...

JL8Jeff 06-21-2009 10:00 AM

It's really pretty easy to trim the bumpstops and you can also elongate the mounting holes to slide it inward as well so there's no contact with the wheel or tire. Comparing the cost of the wheels/tires vs the cost of the bumpstop there's no reason not to trim it properly.
