Race against the clock. take look please.
Have less than 24 hours to get my hands on a set of o2 extensions and a block-off plate for the intake manifold before 5PM tomorrow.
Can a NJFBOA member in North or Central NJ help? *edit* it's for a LS1 motor |
extend the 02 harness yourself....
|
Block of plate for the intake? EGR?
|
ahhh i was goin to say i have both for lt1 though....sorry
|
I made a temporary blockoff plate with snips and a sheet of metal that can be had in home depot... and you can extend the O2 harness yourself... just dont snip all the wires in one shot.

I'd rather do it right the first time with the correct parts and only improvise as a last resort...

88,xxx on the car.
I'm with ya on the moisture... especially considering the weather we've had so far. (I watched a shot glass worth of rain water pour out of my DRL housing when I changed the 2nd burnt blinker bulb this week) :banghead: |

Vinnie- Thanks for the tip. I'll make sure to do that!
I'm gonna call the autozone where I'm supposed to pick up the exhaust manifold gaskets from from tomorrow & see if they carry C5 o2 sensors. Any one know where I can pick up Block Off Plates? |

if you know how to do wiring, you wont have moisture problems

How big is the hole? Maybe I can temporarily plug it somehow using something from the hardware store? Quote:

3 bucks worth of wires and a few dollars for a cheap sodaring kit and your in business. as for the blockoff plate you might wanna call a performance shop that works on ls1s a lot...ttp or js performance might have one laying around
|
You can easily make a blockoff plate from some of the metal they sell at Home Depot or the hardware store. As long as you have a hacksaw and a drill it will be easy. A file helps to clean up the edges.
