why the sudden motivation?

I have the car up for sale as a roller, but today on some kind of freak whim I decided to do this

some time tomorrow I'm gonna finish mounting it and try to hook everything up so i'll at least start

on a side note...its kinda freaky how small it is huh?

sweetbmxrider 06-26-2009 10:31 PM

sounds like a nice little build up

bubba428 06-26-2009 10:36 PM

yup...i figure id repost the build cause i posted it back when i started...2 years ago LOL

HeadlessNorseman 06-26-2009 10:51 PM

Looks like you can actually work on that motor without breaking a knuckle or having a small asian girl available to reach things

bubba428 06-26-2009 11:07 PM

yea, whe i 1st got it it took me 30min to do the tune up, o2 sensors, oil change and alternator. it took 4 hours with only jack stands to do usp55's headers...v6 does have a practical advantage

sweetbmxrider 06-26-2009 11:18 PM

i was tinkering with mine today actually. then i went to the lt1 and just hated myself.

bubba428 06-26-2009 11:29 PM

hahah he man thats why i love the buick...357 SBC and a foot of clearance on the sides...

Blacdout96 06-27-2009 08:32 AM

I'd be alot farther if my miains wouldn't give me so much trouble..... :(

bubba428 06-29-2009 01:25 AM

i thought you had that figured out? if its within spec your fine

Blacdout96 06-29-2009 01:48 AM

I got it figured out now. cleaned the threads like hell the other night, and installed the studs with loctite ( instructions says its ok to use if it I wish for a permenant fixture of them) Re-torqued the mains, and all came to .002, so I got plenty of room now. next step, pistons and connecting rods.

bubba428 06-30-2009 06:49 AM

isnt it supossed to be .008-.015? .002 is very tight

Blacdout96 06-30-2009 07:07 AM

.001 is tight, .002 is thinner.
