Damage has been repaired CARS BACK!

here is the original thread if you want to read it http://www.njfboa.org/forums/showthread.php?t=45290

Guys did an awesome job painting it, took really good care of the car and took there time. Replaced every bracket needed. They got me one new headlight so the other one is all ****** so i ordered a new one already. They also never got me the hood insert for the car since it dissapeared at the accident so i need to find that, used hopefully. I have yet to decide on whether i want the manta back

it looks really really good. not to be a stickler but it seems the gap is just the slightest bit off on the driver side by the nose and headlight. still really nice. you should look up the whistler mod, would look real good on your car. can practice on the old cloudy headlight too

looks awsome. did a better job then the repair done on mine

emolineaux 07-18-2009 08:31 PM

car looks good to bad its still got the grappy tag on the front

Looks good....you should take some plastic polish and a buffer to the other headlight before you order a new one. Should be able to bring it back without much trouble.

loooks really nice... new headlight ftw lol

MyFirstZ 07-19-2009 02:08 AM

yeah i have done the whistler on this car, the passenger light is actually done, and i tried restoring that headlight already. I am just going to get a stock replacement and leave it at that till i figure something out.

and the driver side isnt lined up perfectly. the hood is rubbing on the corner where it meets the fender.

what do you mean grappy tag

looks great man. good work . and if you really want to take away the oxidation bake the lenses and resilicone it back on . no need for a new 1.

xrelapse13 07-20-2009 02:15 PM

Have you thought of doing the manta in like a flat black? Or maybe a gunmetal?

word

MyFirstZ 07-20-2009 09:17 PM

i have thought about doing it flat black. And i have already tried getting the lens back to normal, nothing i did worked it was in really bad shape.

I actually took some time at work today to look over everything meticulously (sp) and found some ****. . . . . the big thing is the hod being misaligned. but the driver side quarter is tan/green on the inside and it clearly visible when you look from the pasenger side at it. the dpassenger side quarter up by the side view mirror has a tape line on the inside. The hood has bugers (the little knots or whatever in the paint from dust or dirt when it was sprayed) The edge of the hood along the seems are all jagged. Just minor **** i would like to have redone after spending 6k

Fenders, not 1/4 panels(sorry that drives me nuts).

Did they give you a copy of the estimate? If so look to see if they charged for color sand & buff, if not that's why have those little "nibs". Overall it looks good, they still should have blown in some paint on the back side of the fender though.

Yeah definitely check, it should say it since i got my car painted and it lists every little detail. But then again every shop is different...

MyFirstZ 07-24-2009 10:23 PM

it was a brand new hood and before the car was finished i went down there they had most of the hood painted except for two spots on each side of the scoop he was sanding, so i assume so. i will get some pictures of the bill and post it up some day soon. Busy
