i pod help
well my laptop crashed today and i had to reboot it so i lost everything. i was wondering if there was any way i could transfer the stuff from my i pod to my computer with out it being erased when i plug it in and it re-registers it to my computer.

i think there is an option when a new ipod is connected to transfer the songs to the library but im not positive.

If the ipod is set to auto sync, you may be screwed.
Best bet would be to set iTunes to not sync and hope for the best. |

Im Pretty sure you cant. My comp has crashed a few times before and i had to spend hours downloading songs again it sucks

Ive had to do it when you plug in your i-pod makeshure you do not let it sync!!!!!!! Go to my computer select the i-pod and use it like an external hard drive every thing you click on will automatically be put back into your i-tunes, its alittle time consuming but better than burning all those disks and going to all your friends and taking there stuff again.
|
there is a way to do it..but you would have had to have backed up all the files themselves on your ipod...if not i dont think it can do it.
|
just dont buy an apple product to begin with

Just talked to my sister whos a manager at the apple store at the GSP, she said that if you bought any of the music you can email itunes and they'll give them to you, if you used limewire or something you can't get them back. She said you can google and get a 3rd party like truchevy said and try it that way

Not a Techi, but why don't you go to the "Genius Bar" at any location and have them take care of it. If they can't help you out. You can at least vent on them regarding the "Genius Bar".
