97 t-56 into 92

Will the t-56 from a 97 fit into a 92 w/o major mods. My boss wraped his 97 formula around a tree and wants to put the lt4 and t-56 into a 92 camaro.

-I would try to use the 4th gen pedals. Thirdgen pedals work but the clutch throw a little different i think.
-use the 4th gen hydralic lines of course
-only real "Mod" to the car is he will need to cut the hole for the shifter back a little bit. Nothing major.
-need to get a new cross member for it.

Ask Ted.

If he's gonna swap the LTx motor over, he'll need to swap the engine harness as well.

forgot to ask, is the 92 a manual already?

He hasn't gotten the car yet but he's looking for a clean 3rd gen camaro to swap his motor and trans into and he was just wondering if the floor pans would need to be modified. He also has a 17k mi 92 z28 but he wolnt cut that one up it's too nice.

yes, t56 / m6 will fit. i am 95% sure that all model 92's gm had made a adjustment to the floor pan/tunnel area cause they were going to put the t56 in for the last year of that gen. might only apply to late in the year builds, and not on early year models.
if you need a 4th gen pedal setup with master pm me. i got a complet set out of a 2000
