another new guy, in the central jersey area

hey, new guy from w.keansburg (technically part of hazlet)

I drive an 87 z28 with a rebuilt 305 long block with the stock TPI setup along with a rebuilt 7004r (both are just about 2 years old now). I only have some simple mods done, which include: a TPiS airfoil, throttle body coolant bypass, a/c and smog systems delete (air conditioning and smog systems both didn't work when i got the car, so we decided to remove both systems when putting the rebuilt engine in) i also have a set of ram-air boxes that a friend gave to me, and i just installed a hooker super comp cat-back system monday night (i have a pair of hooker shorty headers waiting to go on, but i'm waiting for the y-pipe to get shipped to me)

I've taken it to the track twice, last time was in march, which i ran my best time: 15.363 @ 88.83 mph .... not fast at all, but i was more than satisfied, lol (this was also before the ram-air boxes and the cat-back, it was also on a near-full tank of gas)

I'm currently saving up to upgrade my brakes (bigger discs in the front along with an LS1 rear-disc conversion hopefully) as well as upgrading my suspension (new shocks, springs, sub-frame connectors and some strut tower braces or something, along with having it lowered just and inch or so)

once i get that out of the way, then i'll re-do the interior and exterior...the interior isn't too bad, the radio kinda works, lol, the headliner is starting to fall, and my driver's seat is ripped up, as well as the driver side door needs new hinges, I replaced the bushings in the hinges but that didn't improve anything... as far as the exterior is concerned, there's very little rust suprisingly, and the paint is a little faded (looks great when it rains though, lol)

here's a pretty recent pic that someone took of my car at that Hazlet meet (before that meet got shutdown obviously, lol)

I just found this site/forum randomly, and figured i'd check it out cuz i love talking to/meeting other f-body owners (i know only about a handfull of guys that actually turn wrenches on their own camaro's/firebirds, and they are pretty awesome people, lol)

The only other forums i'm on are NJTuners-(TndPrtInjctn305) and on ThirdGen.org-(cohan305ci)
