F 21st insurance

I've had car insurance with 21st for the last 4 years. I just got my current bill and from that little <$500 fender bender. my insurance went from 1500 a year to 1600 6 month. how can they do that? even scam artist geico is $1000 cheaper and progressive is even lower than that. wth?

baddest434 07-25-2009 11:02 AM

then why not go with progressive? did you make a claim for a 500 fender bender?

Blacdout96 07-25-2009 12:21 PM

I just got my insurance bill. my record is clean, and yet they just jacked it up 70 dollars more every three months....why? So im dropping their asses since I found two companies that are 400 less then what I was paying a year for me.

BurninrubberGT 07-25-2009 12:25 PM

that sucks man..complete bs

sweetbmxrider 07-25-2009 12:48 PM

sucks dude. shouldn't have made the claim if that drove it up. lotta guys on here always say to ask before you claim and see how it will affect your rate.

New Jersey Manufacturer's Insurance Co............FTMFW!

i find fault with all of the major insurers, including the one we use to insure my wife's car, and here's why: how is it that they can all claim to be $350 cheaper than the next one, if they are all offering the same product? say i get a price of $521 from geico, then i call allstate and they can beat that by $350? nfw.

now, if a company jacks the rate up x% because of a claim, then what they are really trying to do is get rid of you. they can't drop any more, or so i think, because the insurance laws have changed. so they jack the rate up and you not being able to afford the new rate go shopping for a new company and they get what they wanted - for you to be with another company. now, i don't get this. if you were accident prone or something, and had several claims in one year, then i could see a pattern and could possibly agree with them. insurance is supposed to be there when you need it, not gone the second after you file a claim.

insurance is nothing but a legalised scam now days.

That's the beauty of NJM Ins. Co. They don't take everyone who fills out an application, nor do they offer super outrageous savings. What they do offer is the ability to be there when you need them and not jacking your rates so you'll leave after a claim. As far as auto/home insurance goes they are the class of the field, even if the field is filled with scum bags and scam artists.

Pretty much. I mean what's the point of paying out oodles of cash for a policy only to then pay for an accident out of pocket because you are afraid of a rate hike?? Kinda defeats the purpose of insurance in all but the catastrophic situations?

btownws6 07-26-2009 09:26 AM

i have allstate and they have always been good to me and yes the can still drop you but they have to wait till ur policy runs out and then they don't let you renew they tried with me b/c of points but i fixed that **** but my ins will make all of you cry b/c i pay 717.00 a MONTH for full coverage on 2 cars, 2 accidents, 10 points, and i'm under 25 i hate it but i gotta drive to work so i'm beat

You best learn to lay off the go-fast pedal. You pay $8604 a year to drive? Wow. You could pay my insurance for almost 3 1/2 years - 2 drivers, 3 cars with full insurance and increased liability limits and liability only on my truck. And my Z has $20,000 agreed value coverage and no deductibles. Why full coverage? You are under 25 are you driving 2 new cars? Maybe it is time to dial back the fleet.

LTb1ow 07-26-2009 10:05 AM

Heh, I pay 600 a year.

Gotta love insurance companys saying my car is a non performance car.

BigAls87Z28 07-26-2009 10:22 AM

Damn Geo Storms.

I pay 220 a month for 2 cars, basic liability.

Man, I hope that job pays you real well. I'm guessing with car payments and gas you are well over $15,000 annual just to drive, and probably more. I'd consider simplifying a bit, but that's just me.
