powder coating question

for those that do powder coating or know a bit about it. can you powder coat a 2 tone sceme. i have motorcycle wheels that i would like to have powder coated. i want to have the spokes done one color and the lip of the wheel done another color. the wheel is a one piece wheel so it can not be taken apart. thanks for any help. also can powder coating be match to most car paints? like metallic burnt orange

I think you would have the main coat applied, and baked, then tape it off, paint the other color, and bake it again, but there will be a thickness difference

Yes you can two tone.....it's far from easy though. The tape lines don't always come out clean...especially because that tape tends to lift a little during the baking process and the powder can seep a little when it flows out. Not saying it can't be done....just takes time, patience, and very good prep.

There's no way to color match powder however. You just have to find something close to your paint.
